i have not washed my hair 4 nearly 3 years now
and it never gets oily, you rhair adjusts to having no products withing 6 months, some people cant wait that long, in that case, they nare 'dependant' on the product, but can operate the same way without it

Yea to an extent, I wash my hair about every 3 - 4 days, its not good to wash it too often.

I wash my hair every day unless I didn't straighten it that day, otherwise it ends up looking like straw. Also I wash it twice per day, morning and afternoon.
I have to stop straighten it so much, it's just a really bad habit >.<

That is insane. I wash my hair like, every 2-3 days. my friend washs her hair twice a day. I think that's way full-on. *cough farr is insane cough*

it is, and your hair will go through so much chemicals that it'll be withered and dead by like, 50, I wash mine every 2-3 days, on the days that I don't, I just run water through it for like, 5 seconds.
