I love lemon juice more than anything in the world, but I HAVE tried lime juice, and it's much different. It might be sour like a lime, but it's flavor is still different. Kira is right, in a way, the there's just something about a lime that makes the flavor bitter, but the lime sour. It's really not possible to explain in into words..
To be honest, I prefer the lemon. If there wasn't a difference, why would you use a lime instead of a lemon for certain recipes?

Bitter and sour are opposites, Ethan, and yes you're right Amaya, there is a combination of both but mostly sour at first then a slightly bitter aftertaste. I love limes so much ; ;

I once made a lemon syrup cake every week for 2 months, everyone was pretty sick of it by then, and I got it almost to perfection, but then the lemon tree ran out of lemons so I stuffed that idea...
