He loves FMA though. And he likes Death Note. I've read 2 volumes of the FMA manga, however I've watched the entire aniem series (which is based mostly on a different story. Hard to explain) I was gonna read the manga as well, but it was too similar to the anime for most part... They're re-releasing the anime with the manga's storyline, so I'll just watch it. I also have to watch the movie, Conqueror of Shamballa, which is based after the anime series.
It is not just about two brothers who are in search for the Philosphers Stone. (SPOILERS IN NEXT SENTENCE. Well for the anime anyway ->) they find it about 1/2-3/4 of the way through, anyway. It's a lot more involved then that.

that fact that somone dared to compare FMA with Harry Potter is unthinkable
FMA wins hands down
by the way; in the second one; they say 'transplant', it should be 'transmute', transplanting can be done without grievous bodily harm and/or lacking

that fact that somone dared to compare FMA with Harry Potter is unthinkable probably because they both have philosopher stones

Nether the creator of Harry Potter or FMA made up the philosopher stone.

no; it is actually a real legend, strongly connected to the legend of alchemy (a form of chemistry) that can theoretically turn lead into gold, the Philosophers Stone is a way of cheating the number one rule of alchemy; which is the theory of equivalent exchange ('to obtain; something of equal value must be lost'), with a 'stone, and alchemist could do pretty much anything. J.K Rowling misused the stone in her books by making it a source of Eternal Life, this is incorrect.
