The Crows' screech echoed as they flapped their wings and called, getting closer and closer to The Great City, each one individually assigned to a different animal for them to shapeshift if absolutely necessary.
Harrow observed the marking, and then he's own, his marking was on the left side of his neck, covered by his jacket collar. "So you've had it ever since you were given that Clover?" Harrow asked, touching his marking. As soon as he did, another page grew in the book, it's letters shimmering an emerald green colour before fading to a more darker green, the usual lined border turned more wild and several lines split into two, to make the pages more presentable. Harrow peered into the page and read it out loud:
...Each Clover represents a character of this World, and Each Clover chooses it's owner, the only way for a Clover to give up on it's chosen owner is for the owner to die, in such time the Clover will either resume it's drifting in search of another worthy victim or it will return for re-planting at The Garden...
"The Garden..." Harrow repeated, "Where and what do you suppose that is?" He asked.

"I guess it would be a clover field, but I have no idea were that could be." Farran said and looked back at the marking on his wrist.

The aerial beings drew closer... What's that? came a rowdy voice from the Grass. ... Oddly, no reply came from the rest of the grass, and all other whispering creatures suddenly began to turn silent... And Licorice didn't think it was because he was there.
He could pinpoint a direction, but there were so many of them that his senses were partially clouded. He began to run to his right, leaping off the railroad tracks and bounding through the meadow. In the distance, a cloud of darkness could be seen vaguely, and Licorice couldn't remember the last time he saw heaps of flapping dark clouds.

The crows continued to soar through the wind, fluttering straight for the Great City, over the fields.
"I guess so, I suppose we'll need to find more-" Harrow was cut off by the sudden increase of noise coming off in the distance, Harrow turned around to see a huge dark fog flying some miles away, "What's that?" Harrow asked.

I can feel them... Licorice heard it! A sentence! He could hear the feathers as they rustled, the myriads of wings flapping and the screeching of the birds, he heard it all. His mind ached slightly. And then, thecloud passed over him. It was... A horrible sight. All his senses burned as though being tortured, and his left ear ringed ferosciously. He looked upward and saw the masses as they flew. And he began sprinting in the direction they were going. He had to beat them there... And he had no idea what was going on.

Harrow had a total look of horror and shock as thousands of black birds flew like jets straight toward the pair, the birds were blurry, and they constantly looked out of proportion, but they still looked extremely deadly.
Harrow grabbed Farren and the two of them ran back into the old shak of Harrow's home, attempting to avoid the flock of Crows.
Razi's eye twitched as the birds grew ever so closely to them, then he feared that the Crows may not be strong enough to take on 2 Clovers at once, he had to be persistent... Razi's final Crow, the largest, and the strongest, flapped to Razi, Razi pet it on the head before sending it off too, with a much different, more vital command.

Licorice saw it in the distance, the abandoned city. But the birds were too fast, they were almost flying right over it. He kept running, nothing he did could make him get there in time. If there were other creatures lime him in that city, he had to find them, and figure out what was happening, fast.
The birds... He sensed their patterns, their movements. It was like a sea was swimming viciously. He just wanted to scream... STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
...And so the air began moving. And just as the first crows began to swoop, the air around the city rippled... And they were repelled, shot back into the air by huge currents and bursts of wind. Licorice didn't stop. He knew now what this Clover meant... He was awaiting his power to be revealed.

The birds screeched as they were hit by an invisible force, some fluttered down onto the ground, others stayed afloat in the air and continued to try and breach it. As the fallen birds fluttered their way to the ground, their appearance changed, 2 wolves suddenly took their place, and they begun running into the city, others turned into lions, and there was also 1 or 2 Wolverine's also running into the city.
Harrow watched as many birds suddenly smashed into thin air, as if walking into a glass window. Then, he saw the few animals that managed to get through, What? I didn't see any thing other than birds! Harrow thought, his fear rising up inside him. Harrow had to do something, the rabid animals grew closer and closer for every vital second he spent thinking.
"I'll have to use it..." Harrow realized, "It's the only way," Harrow had never used his powers for anything besides warming him, he was completely unaware of the extent of his powers, so he had no clue as to how to use them to their full potential.
Harrow waved his arms in and out to create a small ball of heat, he continued to swirl the wave in and out, left and right, the shape stretching and intensifying in heat. Harrow then outstretched his arms and let go of the heat, allowing it to release itself into the doorway, causing the beasts to stop dead in fear.

"Quick, we should go before more of them come." Farran said staring at the beasts. "Do you know of a safe place we could stay?"

"No, this was the safest place I've ever lived at," Harrow replied, growing worried and anxious, "The fire will soon go out, I can't completely scorch them down, do something!" Harrow yelled.

Farran looked at a deserted train station with some old rusty train carriages. "I have an idea." Farran lifted thee old train into the air and made a wall of train carriages in front of the dark beasts. "That should hold them for a while, but we will have to find another clover."
