I'm not going to join, but Eragon sucks, in my opinion.
No I have not read all of the books. They're sitting here in my room, but I have better things to read.
And if you have only seen the movie, that doesn't count, because the movie was worse then Frost's Time-Controlling Ninja (now removed) in Search for the Skies.

the book is good, the movie is the worst movie i have ever seen
biomaniac hasn't read the book, who else here has?
or is all opinion based on a bad movie, that some fans, have made detailed very gruesome deaths for the director?
