Yes, by suicide or reckless actions as a result that would lead them to death (for example killing lots of people and being gunned down by the police, or other similar acts of insanity). If you had heart failure then it could be possible to die of a heart attack if it was too much to handle on yourself and it was affecting your health in some way.
It's possible.

Yeah, I don't think a Broken Heart, metaphorically, can kill you, but the outcomes and results of a Broken Heart can of course kill you.

Do you know what the actual affect of the broken heart was the one that killed him?

It seems he couldn't live properly without her. He needed her, so maybe he thought he just wanted to be with her, wherever she was, and due to his lack of activity and dullness in life, his body could have gradually slowed to a halt. That's why they say old people with pets live longer =]

when life loses itws value, you slip, then slide, andeventual, you fall too far back, and you die, that is why you need frienmds, they pull you back up, before you fall to death

Well, if what Farrelei said was true, then the Cat Lady from The Simpsons will live for a long time.

Yea, I agree with most of the things said here so far, and a broken heart wouldn't literally kill you but the effects of a broken heart could, so the broken heart isn't the direct cause of death but it is along those lines.
