Elizabeth thought this was a good time to start stepping back, Wait a minute!She thought, she turned to the stairway, it was completely open, with no-one at he bottom or top, except for those guards, but she could get past them if she ran fast enough, she dashed up the staircase silently, being the last chance she has to get out of here.

The Guard on the right clearly saw Elizabeth running up the stairs, however he was so concerned with the bat that he forgot all about her. He ran down the steps, right beside her, leaving the other Guard as the only one left Elizabeth had to face.

The Guard didn't even budge. He went to reach her...
But it was too late. She had stepped over into the snow. She was outside.
And no-one that ever escaped the Underground ever came back alive.
So the guard stood and watched as she ran, A dead girl, he thought, saddening.

nightmare threw the braclet onto his pile of stolen objects and thought... wat was she doing up there... there must be something valuble up there if she risked geting into so much trouble.Being a the bat he is, he was gonna leave the tree and follow her.

Eloise, not really noticing what has just happened, kept running, and kept running, until she would be far enough away from the tree, she wiped the tears from her eyes as she continued to run away from everything and everyone she ever cared about.

((Very good posts, everyone last one of those posts were excellent. However, I would like to keep some people INSIDE the tree, so though you guys are allowed to leave, and I want your characters to leave because it will be interesting, do not forget about those living inside the Tree. Anyway, good work guys, especially Smallfry, because that post conveyed your character perfectly, it's a very good post. Now if only you used capitals  Milk, again, very good. The words that you used made that a powerful and character reflecting post, and Claw, that was very good as it showed your character was not cold-hearted, and somehow regretted running away.)) Ferrith's eyes squeezed open. Not much of a rest.. he thought dumbly to himself. He looked up. It had stopped snowing. He trotted slowly out into the fresh snow and looked up. It was nearly dark, the sun showed one final brink of light left inside it, and the nightly fog was closing in around Ferrith. He let out a blood-curdling howl and then stretched. Night, an interesting adventure he thought before darting off into the last remaining rays of light. |

Nightmare walked past the guard and scuttled up the last flight of stairs. As he saw the white snow, smelt the fresh air and felt the freezing ground he thought. "I should go back and prepare since im going on an adventure, but being a stubern bat he kept going.
