NOW you tell me.
But you're missing out. Cats are way better then dogs when you actually get your own ^-^

I used to have a cat, but it killed a native bird in our backyard to we had her put down because the vet said that "cats like these endanger our natural enviroment" and asked to put her down, we agreed with him, so then we got a dog and we have been very happy ever since ^__^

Cats have been here for ages.
I know they kill birds, but that's why you buy a bell (-.-).
And Potato, cats are like humans in that they all have different personalaties.
That cat that 'chased corks n stuff' didn't do it because it was 'like a dog'.
My first cat was very active when it was young, but as it grew older, it always just used to lie down and cuddle up with you.... It was very friendly. My second cat was veeeerry active (and it'd never been near a dog in it's life. It was only less then a year old when it died). It always liked to play and chase things ^-^ My third cat was very active but shy.
All cats have different personalities, don't just say, "this cat is cool because it used to live with dogs".
And Macca, you took very bad care of your cat. You mustn't have cared if you just let a vet kill it because of the vets opinion on our environment. Yes, cats kill, but that's why you buy bells and keep an eye on your cat.

Dogs kill too, you know.
I bet there were more native animals like wombats, etc, before dogs came.
I've seen a dog attack a wombat in real life and nearly kill it. If it wasn't for the owner kicking and zapping the dog it would've killed the wombat. Does that mean that you kill your dog?

*sighs* *exalts Farrelei for standing up for what he believes in*, look, dogs and cats are both killers, but they kill for different reasons, dogs for hunting, and cats for food, you can never have the perfect pet, cats arent active INDOORS, they are there for a friend to come up to you and you can pet them, dogs are more active OUTDOORS, they are there for a good fetch or a walk
