If Love were a Tree
If Love were a tree, we would be it's leaves, We clutch onto it, and hold on tight, we get inspiration from it, it keeps us living.
We thought we could hold on forever, but with a gust of the wind, we fall to the ground, we try and stagger back, but the wind blows us further. We look back at the tree, wondering where the other leaves have gotten to, have they stayed on, or have they also been lost forever?
If Love Were a Tree.

This isn't an entry, but please allow me to rebut that poem with my own views:
If love were a Tree, The leaves would gleam and glisten. But once plucked, they crumple up and die.
You hold the leaf forever, you cherish it and keep it safe... But in the end, the leaf will crumple, no matter how hard you try.
That's why you plant a tree instead.

Ok, did you know that a tree is a perennial woody plant. It is often defined as a woody plant that has many secondary branches supported clear of the ground on a single main stem or trunk with clear apical dominance. Trees are an important component of the natural landscape because of their prevention of erosion and the provision of a weather-sheltered ecosystem in and under their foliage. Trees also play an important role in producing oxygen and reducing carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, as well as moderating ground temperatures. Wow.
