The only thing I'm truly obsessed with is Megumi Hayashibara. Everything else is just a 'Like'. I'm obsessive with Megumi Hayashibara at the point where I try watch every anime she voice acted in, and buys as many CDs as I can find, still trying to learn Japanese so I can watch her holiday blog videos, while saving up to buy a Japanese PSP so I can play Dissidia just so I can play it with her voice in it. But since I'm such a poor person, I've had very little luck on getting all even a scrap of her media other than Season 1 of The Slayers and a couple episodes of Evangelion. *Sniff* (I try to watch Video Girl Ai on YouTube, but my computer's really weird and sometimes dies in the middle of a video..)
Also, recently I've discovered Komi Naoshi, but I can't really call it an obsession yet because I've only read all his manga. I know nothing about him and I can't find anything but a single photo of him, no matter how hard I look. All I really know is he's an optimistic and extremely smart person, and his art matches no other. I'm pretty sure he's still active, for his most recent manga was submitted January 21st, 2009 (According to OneManga); "Apple". If Apple wasn't the most recent, it may have been "Williams" but I haven't been able to find much info on it, like it's release date. Even finding it's scans were hard as hell.
I used to be obsessive with Daisuke Amaya, too.. But once CaveStory Wii came out and the art got really weird, I lost hope in him. His nickname is "Pixel", so why is he remaking a game to look like it was badly watercolored? He's always used Pixels to draw!
I still love his artwork, but I'm extremely disappointed with him by letting his fans take over his work.. CaveStory Wii is going to be a disaster.
