Bored? Wanna read a manga or watch an anime in you're spare time, but don't know what to read or watch? Tired of you're old collection and wanna see something new? Wanna become a bigger Otaku? You've come to the right place!
Alright! Here's how it works! You simply list down you're favorite type of anime/manga or genre and what anime/manga you've already read/watched in that genre, and (hopefully) people will reply with something you'll like!
There's a few rules though.. (Oh noez!) Rule #1: Please do not go off topic. That means no pointless chatting! Rule #2: You must always list the genre you're looking for when requesting. You can ask for a manga with more than just one genre. For instance, if you want to get better results, ask for "Something with Comedy, Action and Romance" And not just "Something with Comedy". Rule #3: When suggestion an anime or a manga, you must ALWAYS tell them if there is any inappropriate content in the series. Thank you very much.

_______ FAQ-What is Manga? The easiest way of explaining what a manga is, is basically just saying "a Japanese version of a Comic Book." The only real difference between our comic books and Japanese comic books is that Japanese comic books are read Right-to-Left* instead of Left-to-Right like normal everyday books. -What is Anime? Although animated, "Anime" is not like an everyday Saturday morning cartoon show. It can really be anything, from romance, to horror, to fantasy, anything you could think of. The verity of anime is as big as real actor movies. Anime is also not always appropriate for children, mind you. As I said, there's a very large verity, so some anime will have blood and gore along with revealing outfits and inappropriate humor, while at the same time there's other anime much more simple that any age can watch. -What do you mean "*Right-to-Left"? Usually when I tell people to read a manga "Right-to-Left" they easily get confused in more than enough incredibly retarded ways. If you actually can't figure it out, it's as simple as this;

What are those funny words I keep saying, you ask? Well, I'm explaining it here!
"Otaku" - Basically the Japanese word for "Geek". When used in English, it usually prefers to someone obsessed with Anime/Manga and games.
"Shoujo" - This is what usually prefers as a manga genre. It directs to women, usually meaning the manga is very girly.
"Ecchi" - Also used as a genre name, this means that the manga/anime has inappropriate content such as girl's panties and dirty jokes.
"Yaoi" & "Yuri" - "Yaoi" usually prefers to anime/manga involving gay relationships, while "Yuri" prefers to Lesbian relationships.
Any more questions? List them. I'm too lazy to explain all the other genres.

To start the thread topic today.. I am looking for something incredibly funny. Funnier than Disgaea and The Slayers combined. Think you can take up the challenge? Please, no shoujo! Thank you!

Please obey the rules.. "You must always list the genre you're looking for when requesting." But for the time being, I suggest Berserk.

Farr and I like? I've only watched 2 episodes, I hardly know that much about the storyline apart from what is said in those 2 storylines. I don't like it, nor do I not like it. It's just simply there. As for anime similar to Elfin Lied and/or Death Note, I reccomend Gunslinger Girl. Though I have only watched a little and only know what Koyjama has told me, it still seems fairly and dark and mysterious. It's probabl;y not able to be classified as fantasy though, but correct me if I am wrong. A comedic anime? Well the first things that come to my head are shoujos (apart from the ones you already listed and the ones I already know you like) D: I don't read too much comedic manga unless it is in comic relief form, and the only few cpomedic anime I watch I only watch in place of more serious anime when it gets too tense for one day, and that's usually like Disgaea or Azumanga Diaoh, unfortunately. So I can't really help you, Amaya.
