Yet another free MMORPG for me, Luna Online was actually not too welcomed.
After losing my main MMORPG partner, I found little interest in favourite MMORPGs like Mabinogi.
It was then that I found my friend was playing this new MMORPG, Luna Online.
At first I was very critical. Compared to Mabinogi (my favourite MMORPG), it's graphics weren't as smooth and beautiful, even though they were good compared to a lot of other online games.
It's storyline wasn't explained too clearly on the site (this is probably because it's new, however), and the guides looked shabby at first.
What I discovered was that Luna is unique because almost all of it's characters are somewhat chibi (little and cute) in style, including the way the game operates and this also affects your roleplay within the game. Bearing this in mind, I started my adventures in the world of Luna.
Story[/u]
The story isn't explained quite thoroughly when you first start off (in fact, nothing appears on the website about storyline).
The story seems to come about as you play, with many different areas of history, elements, and geography slowly seeping in as you go.
It seems not to rely too heavily on story, and I like it when MMORPGs do this because characters aren't seemingly forced into anything they don't want to do (for example, the FFXI storyline), but the storyline elements are there.
Most of the story is in the history of the world and the game, and because the game is brand new (released March 2009ish), the story probably won't start impacting the present time until a higher population is recognised in-game and gaming bugs and errors are almost non-existant.

Graphics and Sound[/u]
As I mentioned earlier, the graphics are very much chibi in style, and almost everything in the game, including serious and evil things, are somehow cute.
Artwork is relative to anime, but it is a consistent style of most Korean MMORPGs. Each NPC has a variable graphic for conversations, although the main disapppointment with NPCs was that the artists seem to have gotten extremely lazy and a lot of the NPC spirtes and artworks are repeated from town to town, with some quest dialogue explaining details such as "he looks a little like me" Dx;
Spell and skill artwork is very beautiful, although a lot of the 'buff' (positive effects granted by spells or items on a character) spells seem to closely resemble each other.
Hopefully, with time and growth, these disappointments will be changed for the better.
Loading screens are extremely beautiful, and official game artwork is also very appealing to the eyes.
Music-wise, the game is pretty broad. For every new area there is music to go with it, however in some circumstances (Zakandia and Zakandia Outpost) the music is repeated, and can make it sometimes repetitiveand boring.
There is a lot of screaming in this game, just to warn you xD;
Dubbing is good and funny at times, with different chants, yells, screams, groans, moans, cries, cheers, everything you can imagine being worked into your character.
If you're a magic-based character like me, however, you'll probably get sick of the constant screaming chants that comes with every attack!

Gameplay and Features[/u]
Gameplay is very broad, but not as broad as something like Mabinogi.
Players can roleplay with each other, create and nurture families, farm, design items, build and customise weapons and armour, etc., and you have an endless supply of quests to go on wherever you travel.
As far as I know, the only modes of transport released so far is walking, teleportation and flying (by the use of tiny ships, rockets, balloons and wings) - which can only be obtained after level 24.
For new characters, the game offers a wide range of support and items, and you will hardly ever get stuck in-game. The main problem when in the biggest city is congestion (especially on Channel 1) and occasionally, botters.
Quests are wide-ranged and very entertaining, and it's fun beating cute things into bloody pulps and watching them die, especially how some start pleading for their life in their final moments.
Socialising is extremely easy, fun and reccommended with things such as 'Dating Dungeons', matchmaking services, families, guilds, party quests and more!
9/10[/u]
All-in-all, it's a very very enjoyable and chibi game.
Our family (Lime) is growing, and soon the Citrus Cultbustahs guild will be formed.
It'd be awesome if we could get you guys into it as well.
Overall: 7/10[/u]
