Year 11

And so it is that in this year of 2011, many of the users of this site move onwards into Year 11, the 2nd last year of our schooling, now we have days with less than 6 lessons, and days with more than 8, now what we are taught is what we want to learn (usually) and we have no-one to blame but ourselves and the government for any problems we have.
I started this topic with a vauge purpose, to discuss things. specifically year 11, and things that happen as the year progresses, I realise I have written this formally, but I often have trouble writing in any other manner without being misinterpreted.
What have people found different? What have people found uncomfortable? What have people found enjoyable?

It's to early in the year to tell what this is going to be like. So far it doesn't seem bad. They better give us a study room soon though because it's horrible in the heat.

What have people found different? What have people found uncomfortable? What have people found enjoyable? Different? Classes feel far more casual now, as does the timing of things and the fact that sometimes you'll find yourself randomly doing nothing for a whole period because of a free. Uncomfortable? The weather. Enjoyable? The aforementioned casual feel, and also no maths. Or science.

I have foud getting an assignment in the first Chemistry lesson indimidating, and the overnight hoimework is different. I enjoyed getting to the train station after Extension maths to find the yr 12 Ext English clas there.
I have to agree about the casual feel, now every class is a subtle reminder of the Glory days of 10GT

Classes are so much more structured, you can't not learn..its weird, "Free periods" are called study periods and are supervised but we get to use PC's not MAC's unless we want to...or we can just write or read. Uncomfortable? Not the weather because everywhere except outside obviously is temperature controlled and we are allowed inside wherever at lunch and recess. But being in a highly segregated environment is not what I am used to however I've managed to get know all 130 students in our grade. Enjoyable? The teachers and new people, the days structure, canteen, good 'hang out' areas where there are billions of seats and tables, temperature controlled classrooms, surprisingly laid back on uniform, TABITHA program, study periods, and how much more mature people are now.
