Story:
Shadows dwell in the darkness, feeding on the person it forever haunts.
"Do not be afraid, it is but a simple shadow"
Those were once the words of a foolish nation. But that nation is long gone.
As the Shadows got stronger, so did their army grow.
And when the time was right, the Shadows did wage war on humanity, devouring all that fancied them.
Humanity suffered a sore defeat, for they were had not been ready for such simple shadows.
But there were a few cities, towns or villagers that could hold back the Shadow's attack.
The strongest of these was the monstrous kingdom of Avilain.
Many survivors flocked to Avilain, shadowless, awaiting their salvation. Many, many settled there, soon turning it into the capital of the world.
This was 300 years ago.
Still, people live shadowless, suspicious always. Every Sunday they go to the Church, where they pray continously for protection against the Shadows, or the Demons.
The King is a wise and a strong, fair King, but his presence has evolved to just that, a presence, after humanity, no longer at war with itself, is at war with the world around them instead.
Legend says on the day a Crow with a shadow trailing behind arrives on the top of the castle the exact time the clock strikes 12, the one to dispel the shadows will reveal themselves.
So all lay in wait of that fateful day...
