This whole thing sounds a bit like a debate, because when we do show our ideas and beliefs you retaliate.

Also, Agent99 are you trying to say that all the sunday church people are doing a bad thing ? I think it's fine if they are giving some time to God.

I agree and I never said they were doing the wrong thing, and so what if its a debate it fun? but we should be able to talk about it because its very interesting, I'm not retaliating in a bad way I'm giving the answers from the bible...I have been studying this for a long time now and its so interesting to know I just thought I could share it with you but in a way that includes you because I know you wont just read my long posts if it doesn't include you, well I wouldn't because its boring..I love you guys and would never say you were doing a bad thing for what religion you are...your bringing that on yourselves

Kyouya, where did those quotes come from? Anyone can write on Yahoo answers...I look to God for my answers and have proof from the bible and NEVER did I or anyone say that if you don't go to church you aren't a Christian, also in the beginning I stated that I don't personally care what day you go to church on you'll (people in general) still be my friend I just want some of your sides of the story. Also about the first quote in Kyouya's post, even though Jesus rose on the Sunday he still kept the sabbath that Saturday and ALSO keeping the Sabbath day holy is one of the TEN COMMANDMENTS. Nowhere does it say the law was ever abolished BY GOD. Now to shwoozars post... Yes you are right we should devote every day to God. However, I do spend the whole Sabbath time period in devotion to God, it starts on Friday when the sun goes down and ends on Saturday when the sun goes down this whole time we don't watch any secular television or read secular books etc. also we go to church that day and don't go anywhere else except sometimes to bible studies etc either at our house or someone else's. This is why I always reject things with my friends on this day but sometimes I do have a friend over or go to a friends house but nothing like shopping, movies etc. But just take this to thought properly, I feel like it has been ignored: keeping the Sabbath day holy is a COMMANDMENT. Why do people change it to another day and then not really follow it anyway? What's the point of keeping all the commandments except one, how about I follow them all except the Idol one, now I will worship 2 Gods and its the same thing...I just don't understand your reasoning with it. ---remember I don't mind when you worship God or if you go to church or not etc etc I am just curious of everyones thoughts and beliefs--- Also I don't judge you guys by what day you worship etc and I think its good that you can find a day to do it if you do.. right yet again... always right, the thing is, the sabbath is holy, and there is nothing in the bible to say it ias a sunday after jesus, but, for christians, as agent99 has said repeatedly, it does not matter because we have been saved, sure, devoting a day of aABSOLUTE worship is awsomme... i have to go, i will finish this later

Thankyou, at least someone reads everything completely and doesn't take it out of context because I wouldn't say or do anything against anyone and yes its great that you love God. By Gods grace we are all saved no matter what day we go to church, however I do believe and know the Sabbath day should be kept holy and is the day of the Lord but not everyone follows it and that's fine with me.

okay that is e very good analysis thanks violet, If I was brought up with church on a Sunday I would probably have said the same thing. One of the churches (not SDA) has just released a big DVD collection about all this and they give all the verses in the bible of the 1st day (there are 8) and every verse about the Sabbath being the day of the lord and in the whole bible there are over 100 but 64 are in the N.T which is pretty amazing.
Also did you know that if you (as in anyone) could prove to me from the bible where is says to go to church/worship etc. on Sunday I would do it, I would actually change religions because it would be the truth and I would be doing it for God.

okay i asked my mum about this and why we go to church on sunday and stuff and she said that it says somewhere in the bible that once jesus died on the cross it took away the need to keep doing the rituals, have a sabath day etcetc.. apparently beofre jesus came and died on the cross this was all necessary but not anymore.. so yeas:)

Yea if you read it more carefully it says that you don't need to keep doing the Sabbath rituals as in Daily but then it says that THE SABBATH day is STILL the LORDS DAY and is to be kept, even after Jesus died he said "Do not think I have come to abolish the law, but to fulfill it" there are 8 verses in the bible that talks about the 1st day of the week and the one that Violet stated is one of them but then take in to mind the 100's throughout the whole bible that state otherwise but NEVER does it say to keep the 1st day holy, it doesn't even say SUNDAY once in the bible it is referred to as the first day. But people get the sabbaths (plural) confused with The Sabbath that is the Lords day and to be kept holy.
