Licorice heard Farran's voice and jumped, spinning around and arching his back. He was slightly saddened to find it was his own companion, as he really wanted some rodent to hunt, and eat. He quickly re-asserted himself by lowering his back and trotting toward Farran. He stared the hobo-guy in the eye and blinked slowly as he sat himself down next to his leg.

Harrow yawned and awakened after a long, pleasing sleep, he always enjoyed sleeping, it helped him to relax. "Come on guys, we need to keep moving, whatever those bird-thingies were they now know where we are, I suggest we leave now and find anyone that can help us, or at least anyone in general," Harrow yawned.

The cat didn't understand what Harrow was saying, but he meowed a "good morning" and got up from where he was sitting next to Farran the hoboguy, to Harrow the meatman. He meowed once more when he got to Harrow's feet, a nice little "What's for breakfast now?"

"I haven't been around anywhere besides outside of the city for a long time, do you know where the nearest settlement is located?" Harrow asked Farran.

"Everyone has left the city." Farran said, "But the last place I saw people was on the other side of the city near the mines."

The humans were discussing how much food they were going to give him. Licorice was satisfied with this for the moment. He would wait patiently until they were done to get his offering. With this he lay down and nestled his head into his arms.

"The mines...right, we'd better get there then, those....things....might come back, and we only just escaped that time, so, let's get going," Harrow said, picking up his bag and swinging it over his shoulder.

((Wtf? Wow this thread has been inactive for MONTHS. I thought it had been less than that! Wow! This year flew by FAST D8!!))
This motion started Licorice, and he looked up, expecting to see some tasty morsel for his savouring. Instead, he saw no yummies, and this disheartened him somewhat. "Mew?" The man seemed distressed about something. Licorice scanned the skies but could see no more hint of those creatures from before. What does a cat have to do for food, hmm?

((I guess I'll control Farran until Smallfry wants to join back.))
Farran got up too and began following Harrow, who had begun walking across the fields of grass. "So what are you going to do when we get to the Mines then?" Farran asked curiously as they began their journey.
"I don't know, I guess if we DO find any people, we can tell them that the Clover's are gathering again, and that we could restore the World to it's former st-" "Bad idea." Harrow turned around, Farran stopped walking and was looking down. "This Clover...gave me pictures of the past it had experienced, and they weren't exactly pleasant. People hate us, Harrow, they believe that we all abandoned them, they won't listen to us, they'll just lock us up."
Harrow stared at his friend, who must of had a deep connection with whatever the humans had done. "...Well then, we'll tell them that we're under threat," Harrow said again, "They'll ask for what reason," Farran replied.
"We can tell them that the World will soon be destroyed!" Harrow yelled, "They'll ask by who!" Farran replied.
Harrow stared with fearful eyes, tearful almost.
"At least they'd be a good source of food and shelter," Farran told him, "Now lets just go."

The humans were fighting. Licorice didn't know what about, but it was annoying him. Why are they so loud? Gah... It makes me... Just wanna... Licorice let out a sharp noise of disagreement before he realised they had already began walking again. Ugh... These creatures are so below me.

Farran took the lead of the three wanderers, Harrow was still angry, but, he knew that Farran was right, even if he didn't want to admit it. The helplessness he felt was horrid, and he felt like just unleashing the fury burning inside him, which was a first, usually he was calm and collected...
They continued their silenced walk through the meadows, getting closer and closer to the mines...

((Im back, sorry I fogot to post)) "Its about an hour till the mines." Farran told the other two. "I'll have to warn you the mines are the only place with food and shelter for miles. I have a feeling people will be living there so we must be prepared to keep moving on just in case they wont let us stay." ((wow! Frost, the first post you were called claw ))

(( Whoa! Nice post too btw))
Harrow nodded, "I don't know how we're going to get what we need anyway, none of us have any money..." He admitted to his dismay. "Hopefully they'll be somewhere that we can stay."

(("If we cant stay then I think we should eat the cat" Farran said and smiled at licorice.))
"I doubt money will be our problem." Farran said then sighed. "I havent been here for ages, everything looks so different now. I can hardly recognise anything around here. Maybe we took a wrong turn back there?"

Harrow frowned again. "No, no, just keep walking, we'll get there soon." As they continued walking, the usual, beautiful trees died down to darker, withering ones that blocked out the sun from the wandering trio. "Don't worry, we'll find the shafts in just a few moments," Harrow reassured them, but he wondered if he sounded as worried as he felt.
